Volunteering is not only an opportunity to make a difference, but it’s also a way to grow spiritually, build lasting friendships, and use your unique gifts for a greater purpose.
Whether you feel called to help within the church, serve the community, or assist with special events, there’s a place for you. The opportunities highlighted on our website are just a starting point—there are many more ways to serve based on your time, talents, and passions. Stewardship
Help create a meaningful and welcoming worship environment by serving in one of these ways:
Ushers & Greeters
Welcome guests and assist with the worship service
Altar Guild
Prepare for worship by setting up communion and arranging decorations. Serve behind the scenes to enhance the beauty and reverence of our services.
Musicians & Choir
Use your musical talents to enhance worship through singing or playing an instrument.
A/V Team
Support worship services by managing sound, visuals, and livestreaming.
Outreach & Evangelism
Help us reach out to our community and welcome new members into our church family:

Participate in special events that serve and connect with our local community.

Help newcomers feel at home by greeting them, answering questions, and connecting them with others.
Adopt-A-Highway
St John’s Church and School has adopted a segment of County Road B north of Sparta from Gravel Road to Echo Road. And our sign is up!
We are looking for volunteers 11 years of age and older who are interested in participating.
